Ruth Ann & Jib Crawford
Memorial Scholarship
We are happy to announce a memorial scholarship in honor of Ruth Ann and Jib Crawford. This scholarship was funded by generous donations from David and Rita Hankins and George Chamberlain.
At the end of the day, all we have that really matters in our lives is our family, friends and neighbors. Their influence is remembered over the years not so much in what they said but in the way they made you feel. Ruth Ann and Jib Crawford had a positive impact on so many lives in Grenada and beyond. They were good friends and set an example of what it means to make a difference in a community.
I remember how they were one of the first families to visit us after my step-father died suddenly in 1968. Ruth Ann comforted a young boy who years later would remember the love she showed that day. When my mother passed away in 2009, Mr. Jib stepped forward to be a pall bearer for her funeral service. These are the things we don't forget -- these are the things that give us a memory of love, of compassion and of a community that cares. We were blessed to know Ruth Ann and Jib.
